About BMK

Benchmark Holdings Plc engages in the provision of applied biotechnology, sustainability research, and other related services to aquaculture, agriculture, and food sector. It operates through the following segments: Animal Health, Genetics, Advanced Animal Nutrition, Corporate and All Other. The Animal Health Division segment provides veterinary services, environmental services diagnostics and animal health products to global aquaculture, and manufactures licensed veterinary vaccines and vaccine components. The Advanced Animal Nutrition segment manufactures and provides nutrition and health products to the global aquaculture industry. The Genetics segment harnesses salmon industry breeding technologies combined with production facilities to provide a range of year-round high genetic merit ova. The Corporate segment represents revenues earned from recharging certain central costs to the operating divisions, together with unallocated central costs. The All Other segment is divided into Sustainability Science which provides sustainable food production consultancy, technical consultancy & assurance services and Technical Publishing division which promotes sustainable food production and ethics through online news and technical publications for the international agriculture and food processing sectors and through delivery of training courses to the industries. The company was founded by Roland James Bonney, Ruth Layton, and Malcolm David Foster Pye on November 28, 2000 and is headquartered in Sheffield, the United Kingdom.
