RISK WARNING: should you invest, the value of your investment may rise or fall and your capital is at risk. Before investing, your individual circumstances should be assessed. Consider taking independent financial advice. The Motley Fool believes in building wealth through long-term investing and so we do not promote or encourage high-risk activities including day trading, CFDs, spread betting, cryptocurrencies, and forex. Where we promote an affiliate partner’s brokerage products, these are focused on the trading of readily releasable securities.

The Fool UK Discussion Boards have now been removed from this website, having previously been closed to new messages since November 2016.

Pages that previously required you to be logged in to view them — eg, ‘Favourite Boards’, ‘Favourite Fools’, ‘Replies to Your Posts’, ‘Marked for Later Reply’ and ‘My Fool’ — are no longer available.

As a result of these changes, you now only need to log in to the Fool site in order to access our premium services — Share Advisor, Hidden Winners and Pro — The Motley Fool Share Dealing Service continues to have its own separate log in.

We’d like to sincerely thank the many thousands of posters who have made the Fool boards a truly unique and wonderful place over almost two decades. The amount of time that people have put into helping their fellow Fools, and the remarkable detail behind many of the answers given, has been truly astounding and inspiring to witness.

If you are missing your daily dose of Foolish banter then you might be interested to know that two enterprising Foolish posters have set up a new discussion site at lemonfool.co.uk. Many people who posted on the UK Fool Boards are now discussing a wide range of topics there, and several of the most popular Fool UK boards have already been recreated on the site.

And Fool posters OldBoyReturns and loglorry have opened a dedicated ‘Banking Sector & Fixed Income’ forum — “for discussion of fixed income, across all sectors and geographies including distressed opportunities, and discussion of the banking sector and its regulation in general” — at https://www.fixedincomeinvestments.co.uk/boards/

Again, our thanks and best wishes go to everyone who helped to make the Fool UK Discussion Boards a very special place indeed.
